But then Katniss apologizes and maybe, just maybe, it makes his knees go weak because everything for what it was had all been his fault. He wanted to find Drago. He wanted to talk and try making peace. He was the one who needed saving.

[ she wishes she could hold his hand too, if only because she knows words aren't exactly her strong suit. she ends up staring at the screen of her phone for a long time, debating. ]

[Would he be proud? It was a hope, and still a wonder, since Hiccup hardly felt like he could still qualify as a worthy chief. Not that he intended to be one towards this village.

maybe some kind of like...trade... market, but i don't really know whether that's necessary with the city around

[ he doesn't have to worry about dragging katniss into anything. she thinks about her dad all the time. ]

[The exchange has already meant a lot to him. Knowing there's someone who understands. Doesn't make it easier, but it does make it less lonely.]

Trade market. That's actually not a bad idea.

We're still a little ways from the city so maybe setting up a business of exports and imports would help things run a little smoother. People could also find it easier to sell their own stuff all in one place instead of scattered in town where you can hardly figure out where anything is.

you probably can't think TOO much when planning a village
maybe there situations where that's true, but thinking in general seems like a good call
